About Us

Your Gateway to Coastal Adventure

Compass Kayak Tours was founded on a simple belief: the best way to experience the coast is from the water. Based near Jekyll Island, we provide unforgettable kayaking experiences through scenic waterways, tidal creeks, and untouched natural habitats.

Whether you’re joining a guided tour or heading out on your own, our team is here to make your time on the water easy, safe, and memorable. From well-maintained equipment to expert local insight, we handle the details so you can focus on enjoying the journey.

At Compass Kayak Tours, it’s not just about kayaking—it’s about connecting with nature, spotting wildlife, and creating lasting memories.

Experience the Compass Difference

We operate from the Jekyll Island Boat Ramp on the Jekyll Creek, part of the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway, in and around the salt marshes of the Golden Isles. While padding you my have Atlantic Bottlenose Dolphins swim by, see West Indies Manatees eating grass on the rivers edge, see several species of birds, osprey, American Bald Eagles, Brown Pelicans, Double Crested Cormorants, Rosette Spoonbills, the list goes on and on. Need a break from your paddle, search the shell bank of Shark Tooth Beach, where you might find a fossilized shark tooth or a whale vertebrae.

Safety First Approach

Every tour and rental includes a full safety briefing, and all equipment is regularly inspected and maintained for your peace of mind.

Options for Everyone

From guided kayak tours to flexible rentals, we offer experiences for individuals, families, and groups of all skill levels.

Rooted in the Local Waters

Compass Kayak Tours is proud to be part of the local coastal community. Our team knows these waterways inside and out, offering insider knowledge and a genuine connection to the area.

We’re passionate about sharing the beauty of our environment while promoting safe and responsible exploration. When you paddle with us, you’re not just a guest—you’re part of the adventure.
